SPI candidate forum slated, submit a question

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND — The race for Island mayor and commissioner place 4 is closing in.
But first.
Before the election’s early voting begins, Mayor Patrick McNulty and challenger Brandy Buntin along with place 4 incumbent Alita Bagley and challengers Charles Bainter and Lydia Caballero will have their chance to introduce themselves to voters and take questions at the South Padre Island Chamber of Commerce Candidate Forum.
The political event will be held Tuesday October 6, at 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the SPI Convention Center. According to event poster, it will be announced if the event will be in person or Facebook live.
The public may submit questions in advance by email or mail to the SPI Chamber. To be considered, all questions must include name, address and phone number. Questions must be received by September 29, at 5:30 p.m.
